I must say, those are some really excellent times. I think we’ve done Helen more than any other female benchmark for sure, and she’s definitely one of my personal favorites.
Just so you young pups know, I still have the record time there at Neptune of 7:30 with Sharp close behind at 7:33. This was prior to posting times on the message board, so you won’t find it listed. Him and I went at it neck and neck one morning to see who could beat who. That was a great battle. Man, do I miss you guys back there. Bear Down and keep kicking butt gang!

Yes, YNC is correct, we have done Helen recently. I actually programmed it back in because last time it came up, there was snow, ice etc. all over the place and I wanted to get a better idea of my time. Well, no such luck, snow (during workout) and the power went out 1/2 way through the first round to boot! Not my day.

It started pouring rain right before we did the afternoon WOD so that’s why we forgot to take pictures. In a hurry we stowed all the electrical equipment and got started in a hurry. I started to feel sorry for myself for being cold and then I thought about LT Hollon in the snow and then it wasn’t so bad. Constantly varied weather right? I felt like a kid playing in the rain; it was kind of fun. Thanks for the moto sir.
Chief, I remember that day we had a dual over Helen. I chased you from round one of the run. I especially remember one of the Army Majors taunting me for not being able to catch the Chief. I hope we get to face off again. I know whenever I go head-to-head with you, you def. improve my time. Take care and keep posting those stellar times.

Thank heaven you were born and raised in Ohio, right David? You “worked out” every single winter of your life, all in preparation for what you are doing now. Doesn’t get much better than that
You should have seen your (almost) 60 year old Dad throwing a foot of snow around. The acorn doesn’t fall far from the tree.
