WOD 19SEP08
Posted by Admin on September 18th, 2008 filed in WODToday’s workout proved to be both fun and challenging. Doug made his second trip out to join us, and put out a great effort along with teammate SSgt Long. The challenge finished with a “clash of the titans” and low and behold, age won out over beauty! Better luck next time young bucks. Great job to all throughout the week, and enjoy your weekend recovery.

In addition to his effort today, SSgt Long has also started to use CrossFit as one of his parenting skills for his son Austin. Austin now wants to do everything “fast” and his countdowns are all now “3 – 2 – 1 – go!”. However, yesterday SSgt Long asked his son, “Can I turn you into a CrossFit Kid?” Austin paused, and matter of factly stated, “No Dad, turn me into a giraffe!”. Don’t ever forget the simple things in life, and don’t ever lose your sense of humor. We can learn so much from children!
Today’s WOD is a team challenge. Teams will be no less than 2 and no more than 3 individuals. Only 1 teammate may be “working” at a time. Events must be performed in the rx’d order. Score is total time divided by number of team members.

Great job today folks! The competition and camaraderie was great and everyone really gave it their all. I vote we have one of these workouts per week. Who’s with me?

Once every 2 weeks. I’ll add into the programming.

Clash of the Titans huh?

I had to find some way to justify the team assignments, so I figured that “clash of the titans” made it sound a little bit more intentional.
